Carers and Toddlers
Caterpillars
Caterpillars is the name we use for our Carers and Toddlers groups.
We meet twice weekly in our church hall and both sessions are linked but
have slightly different focusses.
Our Monday group runs from 9.30am-11.15am.
During this session there is an opportunity for children and their carers to meet and play in a safe environment. During our time together we have a 15 minute "See and Know" session, which involves greeting each other, listening to a short bible story or activity aimed at children under 4, singing Christian toddler songs and a short prayer. Then we have juice and biscuits, plus tea/ coffee and biscuits for the adults, followed by an activity and more time to play. This group is currently full with a short waiting list.
Our Thursday group runs from 9.15am-11.00am.
This session runs exactly like our Monday group, except that the 15 minute circle time happens at the end of the session and involves singing nursery rhymes. This group is currently full with a long waiting list.
Both groups are aimed at the local community and as a follow up group for families who bring their children to St. John’s to be baptised.
