Elderly Luncheon Club
This is one of the groups that benefits enormously from our hall. Meeting fortnightly the
Wednesday Afternoon Group brings together elderly members of our Parish. Many of the
people who attend are residents of sheltered accommodation, and this provides them
with an opportunity to get out and meet other people. Here they can come together,
have a cooked meal, enjoy a a range of activities and find friendship.
Kirklands Residential Home
Members of St. John's visit Kirklands Home to lead a monthly service with hymns and a short message. One of our licensed Readers also takes communion to the residents. This ministry is much appreciated by the residents, bringing them encouragement in their faith as they cope with the limitations of frailty and old age.
